GENERATOR MAINTENANCE

• Replace engine lubricating oil and gas dispose of in an environmentally responsible manner.

• Replace oil filter(s) in Natural Gas engines.

• Replace oil and fuel filters in Diesel engines and coolant filters if required.

• Inspect air filter(s) and crankcase breathers. Replace if needed (*Note: There is and additional cost)

• Inspect cooling system for leaks and condition.

• Inspect and adjust belts as required.

• Inspect spark plug wires and ignition system for damages and excessive wear in Natural Gas/LPG fueled engines.

• Inspect fuel and system for leaks or damage.

• Inspect wiring and connectors.

• Inspect battery(s) condition, (load test) electrolyte levels, check for corrosion and battery charger function.

• Run engine, check temperatures and pressures.

• Test governor for proper operation, stability and inspect linkage.

• Test engine safety shutdown system.

• Test system for proper frequency/speed, voltage, and amperage.

• Inspect transfer switch and perform transfer with your approval. (Power will be temporarily shut off in order to test the transfer of power from generator to home.)

• Summary report will be sent to you and the technician will advise you of any further work needed.

*Not Included in Maintenance Service:

• Replacement of battery and fuses as needed.
